Batting
1000 focuses on the future of Saskatoon’s young people. The Batting 1000
endowment generates grants for charities working with children. A
diverse group of young people, ages 14-19, build their leadership and
decision-making skills by their direct involvement on the Batting 1000
panel. The Batting 1000 Youth Advisory Council (YAC) research
organizations serving children throughout Saskatoon, and their needs for
funding. They present their recommendations to the Saskatoon Community
Foundation Board.
The campaign to build the Batting 1000 Endowment for Children and Youth received marketing sponsorship dollars from Concentra Financial and North Ridge Developments Corporation, along with support from the Saskatoon Credit Union.
Cherry Insurance has been the operating sponsor for the program for the past 3 years.
There is no time limit on making a gift to this endowment.
