Cornerstone of the Community Award

Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized for their contributions to our community? The Cornerstone of the Community Award has been developed as part of our 40th Anniversary Celebrations in 2010. The recipient of the award embodies the Saskatoon Community Foundation’s vision of making Saskatoon the best community in which to live. Nominees should be residents of Saskatoon and area, and have a significant history of service to the community. This service could include some or all of the following:

  • Volunteering for local charities, community associations, faith communities, sports organizations, or other community groups.
  • Creating or strengthening community partnerships, whether they are in the charitable or business sectors or both.
  • Embodying and modeling leadership, mentoring, or community spirit.
  • Building bridges and creating a sense of community in their personal interactions with neighbours, friends, family and other groups in our community.
  • Engaging in philanthropy that is personally meaningful and having a lasting impact on the community.
  • Serving the community in other ways not listed above.
