William Lang Yip Memorial Fund

The William Lang Yip Memorial Fund was created by the Yip family to honour a husband, father and grandfather, a brother and son.

Born in 1938 in southern China, Bill passed away on October 26, 2010 in Montreal. His happiest childhood memories came from living with a large extended family in Hong Kong and Guangdong, China following World War II.

Caroline Kosmas Fund

Caroline Kosmas was an inspiration to everyone who met her. In her 26 years, she touched many lives and brightened the spirits of those around her. Despite an underprivileged youth, Caroline had already accomplished much in life. She had completed her medical degree, but had also selflessly donated her time, energy and resources to her local and global community.

Dorothy and Jack Webb Family Fund

When a financial advisor suggested Jack Webb consider creating a charitable fund as his legacy, his first thought was to memorialize his lifelong best friend, his wife Dorothy. Dorothy (who always went by Dot) was born in Weyburn and met Jack in Clear Lake, Manitoba at a dance, when he was on leave from the armed forces. Dot worked as a medical stenographer at the base, one of the few civilians who worked there. After seeing each other only seven times, they were married in September of 1945.

Joseph Young Memorial Fund for Children and Youth

Joseph Young is well-known in Saskatoon and throughout Saskatchewan for being a pioneer in the fast food industry. He partnered with Col. Harland Sanders in the very beginning years of Kentucky Fried Chicken and spread the franchise throughout North America.

Kimpton Family Fund

The Kimpton family has established this fund in memory of mother Marjorie Kimpton. The Kimpton family has deep roots in the Saskatoon area with the homestead farm just west of Saskatoon. Marjorie's husband passed away when her two sons, Curtis and Kent, were very young. She raised them as a single parent in Saskatoon and they continue to live here today.

Levine Group of Funds: Murray and Dusty Levine Fund and the Joel Levine and Michael Levine Fund

Murray Levine, with young sons Joel and Michael, moved to Saskatoon from Winnipeg for business, but they ended up building a life in our city. Murray moved with his sons to Saskatoon because he felt that the economic climate in Saskatchewan held more opportunity than in Manitoba.

Merv and Betty Mann Family Fund

Merv and Betty Mann's strong sense of community was always based on a long history in the business and social life of Saskatoon. Betty has lived her entire life here, while Merv was born in Saskatoon, raised in Tessier and Prince Albert, and returned to Saskatoon to finish high school.

Saskatoon Opera Endowment Fund

Saskatoon Opera is Saskatoon's professional opera company. Over 30 years ago, visionary founders, such as Dorothy Howard and Martha Blum, started a grassroots movement to bring opera to Saskatoon. Today, Saskatoon Opera continues to live by that philosophy, building an opera company whose vision is to be a star on the regional cultural landscape.

Station Arts Centre Cooperative Endowment Fund

Since opening its doors in 1988, the Station Arts Centre, a charitable organization, has had as its primary objective to promote arts and culture by presenting live theatre, music, literary arts, dance, visual arts and arts workshops in all disciplines. Its mandate is to support local, regional and Canadian artists, both emerging and professional. For theatrical programming, its mandate is to produce Saskatchewan/Canada-based shows that bring to life themes, stories and experiences that are relevant to our small, rural, prairie communities.

This Field of Interest Fund – focused on children and youth – was established on December 16, 2010 with lead donations from Bob Sutton, Jay Stark and Stuart Sutton (as well as additional contributions from clients).

Wes Bolstad Fund for Meewasin

The Meewasin Valley Authority has established an endowment fund in Wes Bolstad's name to recognize his many contributions not only to the Meewasin Valley but to the people of Saskatchewan. It was Wes' love of nature and administrative experience that led Leo Kristjanson, a Meewasin board member, to phone him in 1979 and ask if he would "help get Meewasin going."
